This renovation project transforms a 63 m² apartment in Barcelona, originally divided into four small bedrooms, into a more functional and contemporary home. The new layout accommodates three bedrooms, including a master suite with its own private bathroom, while improving the balance between shared and private spaces.
A careful reorganization of the floor plan allowed the living room, dining area, and kitchen to be combined into a single open space, enhancing natural light, visual continuity, and everyday use. Given the compact dimensions of the apartment, a kitchen island-bar was incorporated to maximize work surface and storage while acting as the central organizing element of the living space.
The entrance to the master suite is concealed within a volume of full-height kitchen cabinetry, allowing the private area to blend seamlessly into the open-plan living space.
By reducing the number of bedrooms and optimizing the use of space, the renovation creates a brighter, more generous, and contemporary living environment adapted to modern family life.
